Mile Madness is a looped trail endurance event held September 18–21, 2026 at Regional Park, 3770 Richardson Dr, Auburn, CA 95602 (38.95° N, -121.11° W). The course is a compact one mile loop, mainly on a paved bike path, with a pond, shaded paths, and grassy areas suitable for camping and resting between laps.

The organizer provides a fully stocked aid station with a rotating menu, cooked-to-order items such as quesadillas and soup, and dinner options that may include pasta, tacos, burgers, donuts, and a noted spaghetti taco. A separate water only aid station will be located under a canopy roughly halfway through the loop. Amenities listed for the weekend include on site massage therapists, food trucks, a 20x30 family cheer zone with shaded seating, games, s’mores, a DIY sign-making station, and portable restrooms.

Relay teams may include four to ten runners; each runner registers and pays separately, teams share a single team bib, and pacer bibs are available. Podium awards go to the top three teams. Relay runners are not eligible for the 100 mile buckle. Buckles available include a Silver 100 mile buckle, Gold 150 mile buckle, and a new 200 mile buckle. Past participation figures: 115 runners in 2024 with a 72% buckle completion rate for 48 and 72 hour runners, 140 runners in 2025, and a projected 200–250 runners for 2026. The stated participant age range spans 10 to 82 years, with a 52.8% male and 47.2% female mix in prior years. A 100% rollover policy is offered up to 24 hours before race start. Registered runners receive a race shirt or jacket; planned jackets are gender specific packable puffies with limited size availability after 9/1/26. Trail races from Browns Ravine Marina follow out-and-back lakeside trails with 10K, half marathon, 35K and 50K options; aid stations appear every 4 to 6 miles and all finishers receive a custom medal.

A spring trail race in Cool presented by Altra, Dirty Secret offers two single-track courses through meadows, hills and a creek crossing. The event is limited to 600 runners and includes a tech shirt and finisher medal.

Trail races from 5K to 50K around Jenkinson Lake on May 9, 2026, with a 100 runner daily cap. Parking and registration are at the Scales Parking Lot; most distances finish at the Waterfall Trailhead and a $5 day use fee applies.
