Mile Madness Endurance Run
The Mile Madness Endurance Run is a multi-day running and walking event held at Regional Park in Auburn, California. The event features a professionally measured 1-mile looped course, primarily consisting of a paved bike path. The route passes a pond and includes several shaded sections. Participants can choose from several timed formats:
- 72 Hour Run / Team Relay
- 48 Hour Run / Team Relay
- 24 Hour Run
- 12 Hour Run
- 6 Hour Glow Run
- 100 Mile Race
Individual podium awards for the timed events are determined by the total number of laps completed within the designated time limit, while the 100-mile race awards are based on the fastest completion times. Relay teams consist of 4 to 10 members who share a single team bib, allowing one runner on the course at a time. Other team members may use pacer bibs to support the active runner.
The course includes two aid stations: a central station and a second station at the half-mile mark. Support includes rotating meals, food trucks, and electrolytes. Amenities at the site include music, lighting, festive decorations, and access to clean restrooms. A dedicated area known as the Ultra Lounge provides a space for support crews with activities such as cornhole and poster-making.
Participants in the longer individual distances are eligible for specific performance awards. Silver buckles are awarded for reaching 100 miles, gold buckles for 150 miles, and special buckles for 200 miles. All registered participants receive a race shirt or jacket and entry into periodic bib raffles for various prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
