Mile Madness Endurance Run
Mile Madness is a multi-day looped trail event held September 18-21, 2026 at Regional Park, 3770 Richardson Drive, Auburn, California. The event uses a compact one mile loop that is mainly paved bike path and passes a pond and shaded sections. The course will be professionally measured.
Race options are offered across eight timed events:
- 72 Hour Run
- 72 Hour Team Relay
- 48 Hour Run
- 48 Hour Team Relay
- 100 Mile Race
- 24 Hour Run
- 12 Hour Run
- 6 Hour Glow Run
On-course support and amenities include a fully stocked aid station with meals and electrolytes, on-site massage therapists, family cheer zones and an Ultra Lounge tent, food trucks, clean restrooms, festival music, and a bib raffle. Every registered runner receives a race shirt or jacket; organizers plan packable puffy jackets and note size requests may not be guaranteed after 9/1/26.
Awards and rules include Silver 100-Mile, Gold 150-Mile, and a 200-Mile buckle. Relay teams may include 4 to 10 runners; each runner registers separately and teams share a single team bib. Relay runners are not eligible for the 100-mile buckle.
Past participation ranged from ages 10 to 82, with a roughly balanced gender mix. Historic entries include 115 runners in 2024 and 140 in 2025, with a reported 72 percent buckle completion rate for certain events. Organizers offer a 100 percent entry rollover up to 24 hours before the race and a referral refund program. The event supports the Run Free Foundation.
