The Gold Rush Growler Trail Runs take place September 19, 2026, at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA, 8000 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay, CA 95746. Distances offered:

The event uses new courses for 2026 and starts and finishes at Granite Beach. Commemorative race shirts are available for $20. Each finisher receives a Gold Rush Growler beer glass and athletes 21 and older are offered ice-cold local IPA beer. Post-race food for competitors includes hot soup or chili, fruit, cookies, and beverages. Both races use ten-year age divisions from 19 and under to 70+ for males and females. Overall male and female winners receive Overall Champion Awards; awards are three deep in each age group. Packet pickup is available race morning from 6:30 am to 8:00 am at the race site. Race announcements begin at 7:00 am. Entry fees vary by date and entry type.
Course and logistics
The courses run along the shoreline and on single-track trails. The 5K course starts at the south end of Granite Beach, heads north toward Oak Point and Old County, then returns to Granite Beach on a mix of new and existing trails. The 10-mile course starts at South Granite Beach, proceeds north to Oak Point, uses the paved Park Road to Doton’s Point after a loop through Old Oak Point Campground, passes Doton’s Point, continues toward Nude Beach and Beeks Bight, follows the Jedi Trail to Old County Road, climbs the Original Climb to Dee’s Tree, then returns via the Flow Trail and other trails to Granite Beach. Aid stations are located at mile 2 (Doton’s Point), mile 4.5 (Beeks Bight), and mile 7.5 (Old County) and provide water, FLUID performance electrolyte drink, and Hammer Gel. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are permitted. Vehicle day-use fee applies at the park. Refunds and transfers follow the organizer’s stated policy; events are held rain or shine.
