The event features two trail runs:

  • A 10-mile trail run
  • A 5K (3.1 miles) trail run

Location and Course

Both races start and finish at Granite Beach in the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The courses run along the shoreline and on single-track trails. The 5K course goes north toward Oak Point and Old County before returning to Granite Beach. The new 10-mile course travels north to Oak Point, uses paved park roads, and passes landmarks like Doton’s Point, Beeks Bight, and Nude Beach, utilizing trails such as the Jedi Trail and a new Flow Trail.

Amenities and Details

Participants receive a custom finisher beer glass and, for those 21 and over, an ice-cold local IPA beer. A post-race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies, and a beverage is included. Commemorative race shirts are available for purchase.

Aid stations are located on the 10-mile course at Doton’s Point (mile 2), Beeks Bight (mile 4.5), and Old County (mile 7.5), providing water, FLUID performance electrolyte drink, and Hammer Gel. The use of headphones or listening devices is permitted.

Registration and Awards

Registration fees vary by date and distance. Awards are given to the first overall male and female finishers in each race. There are also awards three deep in ten-year age groups, from 19 and under to 70+, for both males and females.
