Euchre Bar Massacre

Euchre Bar Massacre is a fatass style trail run near Foresthill, California, offering two distances. The event follows routes along the North Fork of the American River and uses both established trails and off trail sections.

Distances:

  • 25 mile course
  • 50 mile course

Both courses include extensive climbing and technical route finding. Elevation gain is roughly 10,000 feet for the 25 mile and about 20,000 feet for the 50 mile. The route goes up and down out of the canyon using sections named Euchre Bar, Pioneer Mine, Ebeneezer's highway, Green Valley, Mumford Bar, and Italian Bar. Portions are off trail and may require bushwhacking and route finding.

The start and finish are at Shirttail Creek Campground near Foresthill. A single location will be provided for drop bags and crew access; runners will pass this location twice. The organizer limits combined registration for both distances to 50 participants. Entry is free, and participants must wait at the finish until at least one other runner arrives.
