Champion Mine Trail Race

The Champion Mine Trail Race takes place in Nevada City, California on October 11, 2026. The event is organized by the Sierra TrailBlazers Running Club and Bear Yuba Land Trust and is the second annual running of the event. The race begins on Broad Street in Nevada City.

The course moves through forested sections, crosses a historic swinging bridge, and includes a series of climbs. There are multiple aid stations, historical landmarks along the route, and a newly constructed trail section that adds varied terrain. Portions of the course follow the Tribute Trail and run alongside Deer Creek. Surfaces include pavement, gravel, and single-track trails.

  • 3.1 miles 5K run/walk

Registration information is provided for each distance. Registration opens June 1, 2026 and registration closes September 14, 2026. Published registration fees are $65.00 for the half marathon and $35.00 for the 10K and 5K. A training group for the race will be announced next spring.
