Yorkshire Wolds Way Relay Challenge 2026
The Yorkshire Wolds Way Relay Challenge is scheduled for 24th May 2026. It is a ten leg relay run limited to 25 teams from local UKA affiliated athletic clubs. The event is not an official race but timing will be provided.
The route follows the official Yorkshire Wolds Way from Filey in the north to Hessle in the south. There will be no additional waymarking or marshals, so teams are expected to recce their legs in advance. A team captain must be appointed to enter; after entry the captain will be asked to supply team members details from their club. It is recommended that teams include at least one reserve who is familiar with the route.
Team categories are Male, Female and mixed. Entry is £50 per team which equates to £5 per runner and covers event costs plus a bottle of Wolds Way Beer. In addition a donation of £1 per runner will be made to National Trails which maintains the Yorkshire Wolds Way.
Eight of the ten legs range from seven to nine miles. The two remaining legs are five miles and three miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
