Yorkshire Wolds Way Relay Challenge 2026

The Wolds Way Relay Challenge is a 10 leg relay run taking place on 24 May 2026. Entry is limited to 25 teams from UKA affiliated athletic clubs. The event is not an official race but timing will be provided.

The route follows the official Yorkshire Wolds Way and will be run north to south from Filey to Hessle. This year the route will be run in reverse from Filey back down hill to Hessle. The course starts at Filey Brigg and finishes at Hessle Foreshore. There will be no additional waymarking or marshals, so teams should recce the route and their legs in advance.

A team captain should be appointed to enter. After entry the captain will be contacted to supply team members' details from their club. It is recommended that teams include at least one reserve who is familiar with the route. Team categories are male, female and mixed.

The entry fee is £50 per team, equivalent to £5 per runner, to cover costs and a bottle of Wolds Way Beer. A donation of £1 per runner will be made to National Trails who maintain the Yorkshire Wolds Way.
