Wild Moor Running - Myth and Heritage

Myth and Heritage is a guided group trail run held on 25 May 2026 that starts and finishes in the village of Thornton-le-Dale in the North York Moors, North Yorkshire. The route serves as an introduction to trail running on the moors and surrounding woodland.

The route covers 14 mile on a mixture of moorland and woodland trails. The course description notes crossing woodland streams, passing through small hamlets, and climbing onto open moorland with extended views.

Groups are limited to a maximum of six runners and the run is led at a social pace with guided navigation and group support. The format allows time for stops to look at views and photograph the landscape.

Entries are processed through SiEntries. Entries open 16 March 2026 and close 23 May 2026. The minimum age for entry is 18 and the entry fee is £35. The event is organised by Wild Moor Running.

After the run there is an opportunity for a short après-trail gathering with refreshments and local food. The event information includes terms and a cancellation and refund policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
