The Hardmoors 110 Ultramarathon

The Hardmoors 110 is a single stage trail race that follows the 110 mile route of the Cleveland Way National Trail. The course encircles the North York Moors and the Cleveland Heritage coastline, offering a route through diverse terrain and several coastal and inland locations.

The event starts at Filey Brigg and follows the coastline through various seaside towns and villages, including Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay, and Saltburn. After the coastal section, the route turns inland to pass through the Cleveland Hills and the North York Moors. The run concludes in the market town of Helmsley.

Participants have a total time limit of 36 hours to complete the course. The event is open to individuals aged 18 and older. Runners may participate in the following categories:

  • 110 miles (Solo)
  • 110 miles (Relay team)

Registration takes place at the Filey Brigg cafe on the first morning of the event. A coach service is available for an additional fee to transport participants from the finish area in Helmsley to the starting point in Filey before the race begins.
