The Hardmoors 110 is a single stage ultramarathon held on 23 to 24 May 2026. The route follows the Cleveland Way National Trail and the Cleveland Heritage coastline, encircling parts of the North York Moors. The course covers 110 miles and carries a 36 hour time limit. The route passes coastal and moorland locations including Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Saltburn, the Cleveland Hills and the North York Moors, and finishes in Helmsley. The event is organised by Hardmoors and is based at Filey Brigg Carpark, YO14 9ET.

Entry and logistics

Entry opens on 6 July 2025 and closes on 24 April 2026. The minimum age to enter is 18. Entry fees are £199 for solo entries and £250 for relay teams, with a £2 affiliated discount for solo athletes. Registration takes place at Filey Brigg cafe on the event day. A coach transfer is offered from Helmsley Market Square to Filey for £25. Tackle the Hardmoors 15, a scenic 17.5 mile circular trail from Robin Hood's Bay along the Cleveland Way. Expect coastal views, rewarding climbs and friendly checkpoints on a limited entry event.

Hardmoors 30 is a winter trail race from Robin Hood's Bay along dramatic cliff top sections of the Cleveland Way, covering about 30 to 32 miles with roughly 3400 ft of ascent. Entries were limited and this edition is now full.

Join Scarborough Rock on 10 January 2026, a scenic LDWA East Yorkshire challenge offering 26 mile and 16 mile routes along coast and countryside. Checkpoints supply food and drink and finishers receive a badge, certificate and a meal.

Orienteering at Beverley Westwood on Sunday 11 January offers runnable common land, small woods and some climbs across courses for all abilities from White to Brown. Golf greens are out of bounds and dogs are welcome under control.
