Event Details

The Whistler 50 Relay and Ultra is presented by BC Athletics. It takes place on October 3, 2026, at Whistler Olympic Plaza in Whistler, British Columbia.

The event features two main formats: a 50-mile relay for teams of 4 or 8 people, and a solo 50km ultra run. The relay is structured so each member of an 8-person team runs one 10km leg, while each member of a 4-person team runs two consecutive 10km legs (totaling 20km each). The solo 50km ultra is described as a beginners' ultra, consisting of 5 loops of 10km. The course is within 5km of the race site. The time limit for the ultra is 9 hours and 30 minutes.

Fundraising is conducted for the Whistler Food Bank. Participants can register as a team captain for the relays or as a solo runner for the ultra. The cancellation policy states no refunds are offered, except for those who purchased the optional Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection during registration. Entry transfers to another person are available until September 30th for a $10 fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
