Squamish 50
Squamish 50 is a series of mountain trail races in Squamish, British Columbia. The marquee 50 mile course features over 90% singletrack and more than 11,000 ft of climbing and descent, with sweeping views of glaciated, snow capped peaks that rise from the Pacific Ocean. The event program highlights running terrain in Western Canada and hosted the 2023 Canadian Mountain & Trail Running Championships and the 2024 Canadian Trail Running Championship for 50 km and 50 miles.
Race weekend is scheduled for August 14-15, 2027. Registration opens November 13 at 7:00am PDT. The 2026 listing shows sold out capacities for individual distances.
Distances include:
- 50 miles over 90% singletrack, more than 11,000 ft climbing and descent
- 50 km trail distance
- 50/50 combined event option
- 23 km trail distance
Registration benefits and event services listed include a $10,000 total cash prize purse, course record cash bonuses, chip timing, a limited edition 25L canvas compression bag, race tees, high quality finisher medals, frequent stocked aid stations supplied by Nesters Market, and donor or travel awards for distance winners. The event donates $10 from each entry to SORCA and plants one tree per entry with an Indigenous lands Fraser Valley reforestation program. Policies and race operations include specific refund, deferral, bib transfer, and withdrawal rules, an age minimum of 12 with parental consent for minors, and on course safety and medical support.
