The Event

The Nesters Market Squamish 50 is a trail running event taking place on August 15-16, 2026 in Squamish, British Columbia. The gathering point is Junction Park & O'Siyam Pavilion on Loggers Lane. The event is organized by Coast Mountain Trail Running and presented by Salomon.

The Races

Several distances are offered:

  • 23 km
  • 50 km
  • 50 mile (approximately 80 km)
  • 50-50 (50 mile + 50 km over two days)

The 50 mile race features over 85% singletrack and more than 11,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain and loss (approximately 3,350 meters). The courses explore the mountainous terrain of Western Canada. Most CMTR events award ITRA points.

A kids race is also held.

Registration

Online registration is closed, all distances are currently sold out. The initial entry fees were $105 CAD for the 23 km, $250 for the 50 km, $295 for the 50 mile, and $395 for the 50-50, plus processing fees and tax. The cancellation policy allows for a 50% refund until May 1, and runners can drop down to a shorter distance until July 31.

Other Activities

A package pickup is scheduled the day before the race. Social events take place before and after the races.

Practical Information
