About the race
The Squamish 50 is a series of trail running races held in Squamish, British Columbia. Race weekend is scheduled for August 14 and 15, 2027. The event offers several distances and specific course features.
- 50 mile : over 90% singletrack and more than 11,000 ft of climbing and descent, with views across glaciated, snow-capped peaks that reach the Pacific Ocean.

Registration opens November 13 at 7:00am PDT. Capacity limits are published for each distance; some distances are noted as sold out at their cap. Volunteers receive an advance registration opportunity for the following year.
Entry benefits and event features include a $10,000 total cash prize purse with defined payouts for top finishers, cash bonuses for course records, additional prizing, a 25 L custom compression bag, race shirts, chip timing, high-quality finisher medals, and limited edition caps for 50/50 finishers. The organizer donates $10 from every entry to SORCA and plants one tree per entry through an Indigenous Lands Fraser Valley reforestation program. Top overall finishers may receive entries or travel packages to specified international trail races. Aid stations are supplied by Nesters Market. The event provides experienced medical and safety support and live race weekend broadcast coverage.
A minimum age of 12 applies; runners aged 12–18 require parental consent and a signed waiver. Refund, deferral, and bib transfer policies are specified; bibs are nontransferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
