Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB

Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB takes place around Whistler Blackcomb, the ski resort that hosted the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The event runs across two days and offers four distance options on trails around the resort.

Courses move from deep evergreen forest past mountain lakes to high alpine vistas. Runners will encounter views of Black Tusk, alpine meadows and varied mountain terrain in the Coast Mountain Range. The resort area provides nearby accommodation, food and activities for competitors and their support crews.

Distances offered:

  • 100 KM 5900 m+ elevation gain
  • 50 KM 3720 m+ elevation gain
  • 25 KM 1800 m+ elevation gain
  • 12 KM 623 m+ elevation gain

The event acknowledges it takes place on the shared, unceded territory of the Lil’wat People, known as L̓il̓wat7úl, and the Squamish People, known as Sḵwx̱wú7mesh. The event logo uses artwork from the Squamish Nation and the original hangs in the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. UTMB Cares, a program of The IRONMAN Foundation, supports environmental care through grant funding and volunteer efforts and has provided over $55 million to nonprofit initiatives since 2003. Trail runs nearby

Trail races from Capilano University lands in Squamish offering 18 km and 35 km looped courses with substantial ascent and technical sections, plus a non-competitive kids race of about 1 km.

A locally owned Whistler trail race held since 2004, offering nearly all singletrack courses of 25 km and 50 km. The point to point route includes technical black diamond sections and wide scenic views.

The Tenderfoot Boogie is a scenic trail run through the forests and waterfalls near Whistler. Choose from three distances on runnable, varied terrain. The event also raises funds for local youth and trail advocacy charities.

Trail races from Den Duyf Park on the Mackenzie network in Pemberton. Distances of 9K, 22K and 42K include steep climbs, technical singletrack and alpine ridge views.
