Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB

Ultra Trail Whistler by UTMB takes place in the mountain resort of Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia, a venue that hosted the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The event features varied terrain across the Coast Mountain Range, including passages through evergreen forests, mountain lakes, and alpine vistas. The races are held on the shared, unceded territory of the Lil’wat and Squamish People.

The competition spans two days and offers four different race distances:

  • 100K: A 100 km course with 5900 m of elevation gain.
  • 50K: A 50 km route with 3720 m of elevation gain.
  • 25K: A 25 km distance with 1800 m of elevation gain.
  • 10K: A 12 km race with 623 m of elevation gain.

The courses provide views of Black Tusk and lead runners through high alpine meadows and mountaintop landscapes. The Whistler resort area serves as a central hub where participants and support crews can find lodging, food, and activities. The event's logo was created by Chief Ray of the Squamish Nation and is displayed at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. Additionally, the event participates in the UTMB Cares program to support environmental and community initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
