5 Peaks - Whistler Blackcomb

This event is the fourth race of the BC 5 Peaks Trail Running Series and takes place on Whistler Blackcomb. The on-mountain courses begin with a gondola ride to the top of Blackcomb.

Trails on Blackcomb pass through meadows, by alpine lakes, and over boulder fields, with broad panoramic views. The event includes separate distances for children and adults.

Logistics: gondola tickets are sold separately and are not included with individual race registration. Optional finisher medals and event swag are not included with registration but may be purchased in advance or on site while supplies last. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish, and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be on course for more than an hour are asked to carry a container for fluids and fuel.

The Hiker division is non-competitive, led by two pace leaders for those who will walk the entire Sport or Enduro courses and do not run. Hikers are not eligible for podiums but are included in prize draws. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender and age category for each distance, and to the top three overall.
