5 Peaks - Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb serves as the fourth race in the BC 5 Peaks Trail Running Series. The event takes place on Blackcomb Mountain, beginning with a gondola ride to the start area. The running courses navigate through high-altitude terrain, featuring flower-filled meadows, alpine lakes, and boulder fields, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

This is a cup-free event, meaning no disposable cups are provided at the start, finish, or aid stations. Participants must carry their own hydration vessels for water and electrolyte drinks. The competition includes timed running categories and a non-competitive hiking division for specific distances.

Available distances include:

  • 1 km Kid's Run
  • 3 km Kid's Run
  • 7 km Sport Run or Hike
  • 11 km Enduro Run or Hike
  • 12.5 km Grit Run

The hiking division for the 7 km and 11 km routes is intended for those who wish to complete the course without time pressure or running. For competitive participants, awards are presented to the top three finishers in each gender and age category for each timed distance. Registration fees do not include gondola lift tickets, finisher medals, or event merchandise, though these items can be purchased as add-ons.
