The West Yorkshire Winter League (WYWL) is a cross country running series held across various locations in West Yorkshire from November to February. The 2025-26 season features six challenging races, each covering 5 to 6 miles over hilly terrain. The league is exclusive to fully paid-up members of 17 affiliated local clubs, with individual and team awards across multiple age categories. Races are chip-timed and emphasize a tough, competitive atmosphere without amenities like water stations or changing facilities. Participants must be affiliated with England Athletics or British Triathlon, and dogs, headphones, and blind runners are not permitted on the courses.
