Welsh 3000’s Ultra Run

The Welsh 3000's Ultra Run is a guided mountain running event held in Snowdonia, North Wales, covering the classic 15 peaks over 3,000 feet. Spanning approximately 30 miles (50 km) with 4,000 meters of elevation gain, the route traverses the Carneddau, Glyderau, and Snowdon ranges, including the challenging Crib Goch ridge. Designed for experienced runners who have completed marathon distances, the event offers expert guidance from qualified mountain leaders and athletics coaches, removing navigation stress.

A 115 km multi-discipline race from Abersoch beach to Snowdon and back, featuring a 1.5 km sea swim, two 49.5 km bike legs and a 12 km mountain run. The 2026 edition reached its 400 place capacity.

A 12.8 km fell race near Llanberis with 915 m of climb, a ridge route over Moel Eilio, Foel Gron, Foel Goch and Moel Cynghorion, and navigational challenges in poor visibility. Registration is at The Heights Hotel.

A recce of the Paddy Buckley leg from Nantmoor to Beddgelert Forest over the Hebogs, covering 15 km with 1,580 m ascent in Snowdonia. Small guided groups led by Mountain Leader qualified runners, age 18 plus, entry fee £65.

A short fell race from the Railway Car Park at Rhyd Ddu covering 4 km with 410 m ascent. The route is partially marked and navigational skills are required.
