The 36th annual Way Too Cool event includes a 50K trail run and a 10-mile trail run in Cool, California on March 7, 2026. The course features rolling hills, creek crossings, and scenic views. The 10-mile option is in its second year and follows trail terrain similar to the main event. The event lists 182 participants and shows available entry spots for each distance.

Entry, services and policies

Race entry includes a California State parking pass valid for race day, a NorCalUltras goody bag, a technical race shirt, and a handcrafted finisher medallion. On-course support includes GU gels and Skratch hydration, well stocked aid stations, professional timing and results, and volunteer staffing (the organizer acknowledges about 200 volunteers). Post-race provisions include a signature frog cupcake, tacos and chips, beverages, and a beer garden for guests 21 and over.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet Folsom (afternoon to evening) and on race morning in Cool. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable; an optional third-party enhanced refund protection program is available for an extra fee.
