Course and logistics
The course follows a full loop of more than 26 miles through northern New Jersey hills with rhododendron tunnels, marsh bridges, gravel road and single-track. There are only two road crossings and both are inside the park. Route layouts: the Half Marathon is one loop (about 13–14 miles), the 50K is the full loop, the 50 Mile is the full loop twice plus the south loop, and the 100K is the full loop twice. Parking and the start/finish area are at the boat ramp/boathouse lot; entrants are asked to use the east park entrance off Warwick Turnpike since the west entrance is closed on race morning. Camping on site is available for a $10 fee per group.
Aid stations, crews, pacers and awards
There are three aid stations: Maraschino, BaseCamp and Thirsty Dog (water only). Maraschino does not allow crews, spectators or drop bags; BaseCamp is located next to the start/finish and is the designated crew, pacer and spectator area. Pacers are allowed for the 50K, 50 Mile and 100K at specified miles; no pacers are allowed for the Half Marathon. Aid stations supply electrolyte hydration (typically Skratch), fruit, sandwiches, snacks and some hot items; vegan and gluten-free options are available. Every finisher receives a finisher award; podium awards are given 1st–3rd for Non-Binary, Female and Male in each distance. Volunteers may be eligible for free race entry for a full day of service.
