The Ute 100 takes place August 8-9, 2026 in the La Sal Mountains, Utah. The event offers these distances:

The 100-mile course is a single loop that circumnavigates the La Sals. The course has an average elevation above 8,700 ft and about 24,000 ft of elevation gain and a similar amount of loss. The highest point on the route is Manns Peak at 12,272 ft. The course uses established trails and roads including the Kokopelli Trail, Porcupine singletrack, Burro Pass, Dark Canyon Road, La Sal Pass Road, Squaw Springs, and Moonlight Meadows. Terrain described in the route includes technical scree above tree line, river crossings, single-track and rocky, technical descents. The route provides views of Castle Valley, Moab, and Canyonlands National Park.
Aid stations, crew and logistics
Aid stations provide Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, banana bread, snacks, fruit, soda, and warm food options such as bacon, quesadillas, potatoes, and pierogis. Several aid stations accept drop bags; some are crew accessible and reachable by 2WD and low-clearance vehicles. Upper Porcupine is noted as about a 30-minute drive from the start. South Mountain aid station sits near 10,200 ft and includes a small river crossing passable by 2WD. Pacers are allowed with restrictions: 100-mile pacers may join around mile 42 at Dark Canyon, and 50-mile pacers may join on the second pass through Upper Porcupine (approximately mile 15); pacers must sign a waiver. Parking and the start/finish are located off La Sal Loop Road near the junction of Miners Basin Road. Camping and lodging options are available in the La Sal Mountains and in Moab.
