Moab Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
The Moab Trail Marathon takes place in the Kane Creek Canyon area near Moab, Utah. This event features multiple distances over two days, set primarily on dirt paths and through canyon terrain. The course includes sections located in remote areas of the local canyon country.
The event offers several race distances:
- Trail Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10k Trail Run
- Kid's K (1k)
The Half Marathon is held on both Saturday and Sunday, while the Marathon, 10k, and Kid's K are exclusive to Saturday. The Saturday Half Marathon serves as the USATF Trail Half Marathon National Championship and the Collegiate Trail Running Team National Championship. For the collegiate category, participants must be enrolled students or have recently completed a college course.
Registration includes chip timing, a t-shirt, a goodie bag, and aid stations equipped with water and snacks. Finishers receive a medal and a mug, and post-race food such as soup is provided. There is no on-site parking at the race venue on event days; participants must use the shuttle service departing from HMK Elementary School or be dropped off at the site. A portion of the proceeds is donated to local non-profit organizations focused on search and rescue, animal welfare, and trail maintenance.
