Race #1 Kuitpo Forest

Race #1 Kuitpo Forest takes place at Kuitpo Hall, 772 Brookman Rd, Kuitpo SA 5201, Australia, on 7 June 2026. The event uses routes through Kuitpo Forest, which covers about 3,600 hectares of plantation and native bushland managed for sustainable forestry and public recreation. Runners will move through a mix of scenic pine plantations and native bush, using wide forestry roads and some single-track sections.

Course routes are subject to change because of forestry logging operations; participants are advised to download final maps close to the event. Course cut-offs are strictly enforced; specific pace requirements apply for each distance and runners must stay ahead of course sweepers.

Support on course includes drink stations offering water and lollies; participants must bring their own drinking container. Walkers may participate only in the 11 km event. The long 24 km course is a UTMB Index race and an ITRA National Challenge event, though the courses do not attract ITRA points.

Additional event features include post-run refreshments such as free fruit and brownies, sponsor tents, a massage service, medals for placegetters, and a members-only random draw. A free kids cross-country run of about 1 to 1.5 km is held near the finish; children should be accompanied by an adult and will be led by a committee member with a tail runner.
