Trailspire Ultra 2027

Trailspire Ultra 2027 takes place on 06 Feb 2027 in the grounds of Callander Park, Falkirk. The event is a seven hour looped endurance challenge that runs on trails and woodland paths around Callander House.

Runners complete as many laps as they can of a measured loop within the event time. The final lap must be completed before the event cut-off for it to count. The route was created by the 2025 Scottish Ultra Trail winner and has been kept the same as the previous year following athlete feedback.

Distances

  • 4.14-mile course with 277 ft of elevation
  • 1 km flat route available in the final hour

Entry options include solo runners and 2 person or 3 person relay teams. The entry package includes a fully marked route with marshals, water stations at the start and halfway point, on-course nutrition items, a covered area for food and spare kit, campervan and motorhome parking, and a tented village for individual transition areas. The event offers live tracking and live results, professional first aid support, open and female toilets, a free massage area, live music and a compere, and supplier stalls. Donkey Brae Races in Aberdour on 02 August 2026 offers a 7 mile coastal race, a 2 mile village route and a c.1 km fun run, plus a village market, on-course hydration and medals for all finishers.

Trail running from 5 km to 52.8 km around Airthrey Castle and the Ochil Hills with marked courses, aid outposts and mandatory kit for longer routes.

A new up and down hill race at the Kinross Show on 8 August 2026 with a mostly pathless 2.3 mile route, 750 ft ascent and included show access.

A long hill race on 15 August 2026 covering 26.07km with 1438m ascent across East and West Lomond. The unwaymarked route follows checkpoints, requires navigation and mandatory kit, and offers prize categories and a GPX file.
