Trail Run at Sly Park (Fall)

Trail Run at Sly Park takes place at the Sly Park Recreation Area in Pollock Pines on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event is limited to 100 runners and is held under a special use permit with the El Dorado National Forest. The course follows trails around Jenkinson Lake through pine forest, combining single track and horse trails.

The terrain includes rolling hills and some technical sections, with plenty of shade and no steep altitude gains reported. Aid support is provided from two stations on opposite ends of the lake: one at the event center start and finish area and one at Hazel Creek. Distances longer than 10K reach the Hazel Creek aid station; the 5K and 10K remain closer to the start area. Drop bag pick up at the start and drop off to aid stations is available. Water access for longer distances is provided in the Miwok area on the upper horse trail.

Restroom facilities are available at the event center, at campground restrooms near the parking area, and at locations along the course. Parking at the event center is limited and alternate paid and free parking areas are available nearby. All finishers receive a medal, and food service including cold ice cream and warm food is available at the event center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
