  • 50 km Ultra (Kingswear to Shaldon)
  • Half Marathon 13.1 miles (Preston Green to Shaldon)

Both races follow the South West Coast Path and are multi-terrain. The Ultra includes about 7,000 ft of ascent and the Half Marathon about 3,000 ft of ascent. Approximately 75% of each route is trail; the middle section of the Ultra and the early section of the Half use more tarmac between local beaches and harbours.

Navigation is straightforward where the route follows the coast path: keep the sea on the right and follow Acorn signposts. Marshals and extra signage will be in place at tricky locations, and participants must carry the route GPX on a phone or watch.

Aid provision and cupless policy: the Ultra has four aid stations near Brixham, Preston Beach, Meadfoot Beach Car Park and Maidencombe Car Park. The Half Marathon has two aid stations at Meadfoot Beach Car Park (mile 4.1) and Maidencombe Car Park (mile 10.1). The event is cupless; all runners must bring their own cup or bottle.

Mandatory kit and recommendations include a mobile phone with event contacts, GPX route on phone or watch, water bottle or hydration pack (Ultra at least 1 L, Half at least 500 ml), a showerproof or windproof jacket as required, race nutrition, and £20 cash or card for emergencies. Finishers receive bespoke medals. Cut-offs are 11 hours for the Ultra and 8 hours for the Half. Entry fees vary by affiliation and minimum ages apply.
