The Devon and Cornwall Backyard Ultra is scheduled for 29 to 30 August 2026. The event is organised by Bowel Cancer West. Minimum age to enter is 18 or older. Entry fees are listed as £75.00, rising to £95.00 from 01/02/2026. Entries open on 15 October 2025 and close on 27 August 2026. Race format and facilities

The format requires participants to complete a lap of 4.167 miles every hour, starting on the hour. Each circuit must be completed in less than 60 minutes; any remaining time within the hour is used before the next circuit begins. Runners continue completing hourly circuits until only one runner remains; that runner is declared the winner. Event facilities include an accessible toilet and sanitary bins that are stoma friendly. A free hair plaiting service is offered, with donations to the charity welcomed. The organiser offers an optional event insurance product for possible refunds if participants cannot attend for unforeseen reasons.
