Event Information

The Spring Sprung Ruck and Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Queeny Park in Ballwin, Missouri. The start area is Racers Village at the Smith Pavilion.

Distances

The event features four distance options:

  • 5K (one lap)
  • 10K (two laps)
  • Half Marathon (four laps)
  • 10K Ruck (two laps with a 20lb or 30lb rucksack)

All events share the same course and start simultaneously. The route is a loop on the shady, rolling gravel trails of Queeny Park.

Participant Information and Features

Packet pickup is available on race morning from 6:15 AM to 7:15 AM. The national anthem is scheduled for 7:26 AM, with the race starting at 7:30 AM. Race day registration is not available.

Registration includes several items and services: a large finisher's medal, a commemorative soft t-shirt, a Rockinator Racing drawstring backpack, race snacks, colas, professional chip timing, free downloadable action photos and finish line video, and access to an aid station stocked with sports drinks every lap (approximately 3.25 miles). Music is played at Racers Village.

Awards

Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall in the 5K, 10K, 10K Ruck, and Half Marathon. Custom medal badges are awarded to the top three finishers in all age groups for every event. Age groups are: 1-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. A podium awards ceremony is held.

Additional Details

The course is fully marked. The event uses the RaceJoy app for live phone tracking, GPS progress alerts, and allowing spectators to send cheers.
