The Next Loop - Indian Camp Creek

The Next Loop 40/50 Mile Challenge is a continuous loop trail race held at Indian Camp Creek Park in Foristell, Missouri. Runners complete repeated laps of a clearly marked ~3.1-mile (5K) loop that returns each lap to the same central start and finish area.

Distances offered:

  • 40 Mile
  • 50 Mile

The trail surface combines dirt singletrack, grass, and packed earth and runs through rolling wooded terrain, open meadows, and sections alongside the creek and conservation areas. Elevation is described as gentle to moderate rolling, with shaded forest sections and occasional open stretches that provide steady, runnable footing.

Support is centralized at a fully stocked aid station available on every lap. Runners may access personal supplies at a designated staging area each loop. Crew access is permitted in designated areas and pacers are allowed according to event rules. Medical and race staff are on site throughout the event.

The format emphasizes continuous running on the same loop with a 12 hour time limit. Because the course is loop based and consistently marked, navigation is not required during the race and athletes can refuel, change gear, or rest at the staging area without leaving the course. The event runs alongside The Next Loop Endurance Series on the same course but is scored separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
