Rockin' Rockwoods 53K and 1/2 Marathon

Rockin' Rockwoods is a trail race held on September 26, 2026 at Greensfelder County Park, 4515 Hencken Road, Wildwood, MO, with start and finish at Muckerman Shelter. The event offers multiple simultaneous trail distances:

• 53K
• 1/2 Marathon
• 1/2 Marathon RUCK (13.1 Ruck)

Courses run on the Green Rock Trail with about 95% single track. Terrain varies from hard pack dirt to loose rock, roots and creek crossings. The 53K combines two out and back sections with approx. 5,200 ft of elevation gain; the half marathon and ruck are an out and back with approx. 2,200 ft of elevation gain. The event uses technical, hilly trails and is not a road half marathon.

There are four manned aid stations stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, gels, snacks and first aid. Distances between aid stations average about 5.5 miles, with no gap greater than roughly 7.5 miles. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and at the turnaround aid station.

Race registration includes a custom Headsweats running hoodie if registered by August 2, 2026, custom finisher medals or ruck patch, professional race photos, and post race food and beer for runners and volunteers. The event is cup free and follows a zero waste approach; runners should bring a drinking receptacle and a mess kit for post race food. The race is partnered with the Trail Mix Fund to help remove registration barriers for some runners. Final cut off for all distances is 10 hours.
