Rockin' Rockwoods

Rockin' Rockwoods is a trail running event held at Greensfelder County Park in Saint Louis, Missouri. The race marks its 12th year in 2026 and traverses the Rockwoods Range and Rockwoods Reservation conservation areas. The terrain consists of 95% singletrack trails featuring hard-packed dirt, loose rocks, roots, and creek crossings. The course includes steep grades and rolling hills.

The event offers three distinct distance options:

  • 53K Ultra
  • 1/2 Marathon
  • 1/2 Marathon RUCK

The 53K Ultra course consists of two out-and-back sections across the Green Rock, DeClue, and Fox Run Trails, totaling 5,200 feet of elevation gain. The 1/2 Marathon and 1/2 Marathon RUCK use an out-and-back route on the Green Rock, Eagle Valley, and Deer Run Trails, with 2,200 feet of elevation gain.

Participants in the 1/2 Marathon RUCK division are required to carry a rucksack or weighted vest weighing at least 20 lbs, excluding food and water. Finishers in this category receive a custom patch, and a portion of their registration fee is donated to the Dogs for our Brave organization. This event is also part of the 50K Mashup SLAM series. Registration assistance is available through the Trail Mix Fund for eligible participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
