DeClue Loops Trail Race

The DeClue Loops Trail Race takes place in Greensfelder Park, located in Wildwood, Missouri. The event utilizes the DeClue Trail, an 8.2-mile loop that begins and ends near the park's Visitor's Center. Participants navigate technical terrain with rolling hills, running in a counter-clockwise direction.

The event offers four distinct distance options based on the number of loops completed:

  • 8 Miles: One loop of the DeClue Trail.
  • 16 Miles: Two loops of the DeClue Trail.
  • 26.2 Miles (Marathon): A 2.4-mile loop on Dogwood Trail followed by three loops of the DeClue Trail.
  • 32 Miles (50K): Four loops of the DeClue Trail.

This is a cup-free event, and participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration systems. Manned and stocked aid stations are positioned at the 3-mile mark, providing snacks and Tailwind, with an additional water station at the 6.2-mile mark across Scenic Road. A dedicated area for drop bags is available near the start and finish line for runners to access between loops.

The course is marked with orange flags and directional signs. For the longer distances, a time limit is enforced, requiring all runners to begin their final loop by 2:30 pm to meet the overall 5:00 pm course cut-off. Top male and female finishers in each distance receive awards, and participants receive race swag if registered by the specified deadline.
