Course and format
The single loop is roughly 20 miles and is made of five legs of about 3.2-5.3 miles. Distances are completed by repeating the loop (1x = 20 mi, 2x = 40 mi, 3x = 100k, 5x = 100 mi). The course direction alternates by year - clockwise on odd years, counterclockwise on even years. Surface mix is about 75% single/double track and 25% jeep roads. Two indoor aid stations are on course. Elevation approximations are provided for each distance.
Logistics and rules
Drop bags are allowed at both aid stations for solo runners with a suggested tote size. Pacers must register and are permitted under specified conditions; pacers are not allowed for 40 mi, 20 mi, or relay runners. On-course hydration is supplied by a local company. Camping is offered indoors in the Emerson Center with shower and bathroom access; open fires are not permitted. No refunds are allowed after registration.
