The Shippey Endurance Runs

The Shippey Endurance Runs take place at Beaumont Scout Reservation near High Ridge, Missouri. The event uses the reservation's trail system and offers multiple measured-distance ultra and trail running options that reuse the Scout trail color system.

Distances include:

  • 25K: 15.5 miles, approx 2,300 ft ascent and descent
  • 20 Miler: 20.15 miles, approx 3,000 ft ascent and descent
  • 50K: 31 miles, approx 4,600 ft ascent and descent
  • 40 Miler: 40.7 miles, approx 6,000 ft ascent and descent
  • 100K: 61 miles, approx 9,000 ft ascent and descent
  • 100 Miler: 101.7 miles, approx 15,000 ft ascent and descent

New for 2027 are the 50K and 25K distances. The 50K uses an 11 hour cutoff and the 25K uses a 7 hour cutoff. The shorter options are composed of three legs of about 5.3, 4.65 and 5.5 miles, with the 5.5 mile leg combining outer portions of the smaller legs.

The course alternates direction each year and features steep climbs, ridgeline running, steep descents, creek bottoms, pine floor, and jeep roads. Approximately 75% of the course is single and double track and 25% is jeep road. Two indoor aid stations are on course and are reached multiple times.

On-site amenities include limited indoor camping in the Emerson Center with shower and bathroom access, nearby dining options in Eureka, Fenton, and Valley Park, and a request to carpool as parking grows. Drop bags for solo runners are allowed with size limits. Pacers must register and are permitted after runners complete 40 miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
