About the race
The Shippey Endurance Runs is a multi-distance trail event held at Beaumont Scout Reservation near High Ridge, MO on January 16–17, 2027. The event is organized by PR Racing and uses the Scout ranch trail system, which is normally closed to the public during the year.
Course terrain includes steep climbs, ridgeline running, long and short steep descents, creek bottoms, pine floor, and jeep roads. The route is approximately 75% single or double track and 25% jeep roads. The course direction alternates by year, running clockwise on odd years and counterclockwise on even years. There are two indoor aid stations that runners will visit multiple times.
Distances and approximate elevation changes:
- 100 Miler (101.7 mi) approx 15,000' ascent/descent
- 100K (61 mi) approx 9,000' ascent/descent
- 50K (31 mi) approx 4,600' ascent/descent
- 40 Miler (40.7 mi) approx 6,000' ascent/descent
- 20 Miler (20.15 mi) approx 3,000' ascent/descent
- 50 K and 25 K are new in 2027 with mixed legs totaling about 31 mi and 15.5 mi respectively
- 25K (15.5 mi) approx 2,300' ascent/descent
Race operations note that pacers must register; pacers are not permitted for the 40M, 50K, 20M, or 25K. Drop bags are allowed at both aid stations with a recommended maximum size of 24"L x 16"W x 13"H. On-site indoor camping spots with shower access are available for event participants; popups and open fires are not allowed and general camping rules apply. Nearby towns include Eureka, Fenton, and Valley Park. Registration rules state no refunds after registration is received, and distance changes and bib transfers are allowed through January 13, 2027.
