The Original Grim Challenge
Aldershot, United Kingdom • 11 Jan 2026
Event overview
The Grim Challenge is a muddy trail running event scheduled for Sunday 11 January 2026 at the Army Tank Training area, Fleet Road, Aldershot. The race has run since 2003 and, after a break in 2020, has attracted more than 1,000 participants in recent years. The route uses army vehicle testing ground and features natural obstacles created by tank tracks and weather. Organisers describe the course as a trail run rather than a built obstacle race; participants may encounter cargo nets, waist-high water and muddy, hilly terrain.
