South Downs Way Ultra Run
Petersfield, United Kingdom • 12 Oct 2025
The South Downs Way Ultra Run is a 30-mile trail running event starting and finishing at Harting Down in West Sussex. The course showcases some of the best sections of the South Downs Way and nearby areas, including Beacon Hill, Cocking Down, and the ancient woodlands of Kingley Vale, known for its veteran yew trees. The route also incorporates parts of the Sussex Border Path, Shipwrights Way, and Staunton Way. Designed as an ideal introduction to ultra running, the event is guided by an experienced ultra runner, offering a supportive group atmosphere rather than a race. Participants enjoy scenic trails through nature reserves, villages, and hills, with logistics and route navigation fully managed by the organizers.
