The New Orleans Ultramarathon and Half

The New Orleans Ultramarathon and Half takes place on October 24, 2026 in New Orleans, LA. The event offers the following distances:

  • 50 Miler
  • 50K
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

All distances finish at Second Line Brewing, 433 N Bernadotte St. The 50K and 50 Miler start from Jackson Square (Decatur St) and the Half Marathon starts from Louisiana Running + Walking Co (4153 Canal St).

The course is an open road route marked with spray painted arrows and supported by turn by turn instructions and a Strava route. Roads will not be closed for the event, so runners must take care at busy intersections. The organizers may issue updated route information closer to the race date.

Packet pickup is at Louisiana Running + Walking Co (4153 Canal St) on Friday, 10/23/26 from 12:30pm to 6pm. If registrants cannot attend packet pickup, bibs can be collected on race morning and swag bags will be available at the finish.

Aid stations will provide bathroom access (indoor or porta potties) and typical ultrarunning supplies including gels, electrolyte mixes, sports drinks, soda, basic first aid, sunscreen, feminine hygiene products and snacks. Note that aid station 1 will offer fruit and water only and aid station 2 has no bathrooms.

Top three male and female finishers in each distance receive handmade awards by local artists and all finishers receive a custom finisher medal. A $500 prize is offered for any new course record subject to verification via recorded devices. Additional event policies note that pacers are permitted under race rules, no refunds or transfers are allowed, drop bags are accepted, and distance changes are allowed up to the start.
