The New Orleans Ultramarathon and Half

The event in New Orleans, LA offers three race distances that all finish at Second Line Brewing (433 N Bernadotte St). Start locations are Jackson Square on Decatur Street for the 50K and 50 mile routes, and Louisiana Running and Walking Co at 4153 Canal Street for the half marathon. Registration confirmation includes a Strava route and organizers may send updated routes closer to the event.

The course is an open course with roads that will not be closed to traffic. Navigation aids include spray painted arrows at many intersections, a posted course map, and turn by turn instructions in Excel format. Aid stations are placed along the course and are stocked with water, sports drink, gels, first aid supplies, snacks, and bathroom access at most stations. Drop bags are allowed and can be delivered at packet pickup or the start.

Packet pickup is handled at Louisiana Running and Walking Co. Awards for top three male and female finishers in each distance are handmade by local artists, and all finishers receive a custom finisher medal. The race offers a monetary prize for new course records and reserves the right to verify times via Strava or other tracking platforms. A mid race meetup at Louisiana Running Company and a post race gathering at the finish venue provide food, beverages, and award presentation.
