The Manchester 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run

The event is held at Heaton Park, The Bowl, Manchester (M25 2SW). It offers three distances and supports the charity Shelter. Fundraising is optional and there is no minimum fundraising target.

The course is undulating and is mainly on paths with one section on trail. Distances and lap structure are:

  • 5k one lap.
  • 10k two laps.
  • Half marathon four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section.

The event is chip timed using a chip on bib system and results are available via Results Base timing. Starts are staggered to reduce congestion and times are recorded from the start mat. Race packs are collected at registration on the morning of the event. Marshals are positioned around the course and bag storage, toilets and refreshment sales are available at the event hub, though bag storage space is limited.

Accessibility notes: buggies are allowed and the course is wheelchair friendly apart from the trail section. Parking is available onsite but limited; several park entrances and postcodes are provided for navigation. The organiser provides a medal for finishers, some trophies for winners, drinks and sweets at the finish and may provide event photos and merchandise. Entry fees, refund and transfer rules, and deadlines are stated by the organiser and entries close on 27 January 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
