Event Information

The Long Run - Spring Forward is a trail running event on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The event takes place at Jacobsburg State Park near Wind Gap, Pennsylvania. The start and finish location is the Equestrian Parking Lot near the Sobers Run trailhead.

Course

Participants run a loop around Jacobsburg State Park. The loop is approximately 5 miles long. It is run counter-clockwise and consists of a mixture of single-track and gravel trails. The loop has about 450 feet of elevation change.

Distances

Three event options are available:

  • A 5-mile run/hike.
  • A 3-hour timed event.
  • A 6-hour timed event.

For the timed events, a lap must be completed before the 3-hour or 6-hour cutoff to be counted. All three events start from the same location.

Aid and Support

The event is cupless. Participants must supply their own hydration bottles, which can be refilled with water provided at the course. Runners must also bring their own fueling. Runners in the timed events may have a personal aid bin (under 30 gallons) near the start/finish line. There is no limit on crew or spectators.

Awards

All finishers receive a race finisher pin. Sustainable medals are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary participants in each event.

Additional Details

The event promotes a zero-carbon initiative, with a portion of the registration fee allocated to offset carbon emissions from participant travel.
