Event Overview
The Long Run - Spring Forward is a trail running event held on April 4, 2026. It takes place at the Equestrian Parking Lot near the Sobers Run trailhead in Jacobsburg State Park, Wind Gap, Pennsylvania.
Course and Distances
The event features a loop course of approximately 5 miles within Jacobsburg State Park. The terrain is a mixture of single-track and gravel trails with about 450 feet of elevation change per loop. The Spring Forward rendition of the event is run in a counter-clockwise direction.
Participants can register for one of three event formats:
- A single 5-mile loop.
- A 3-hour timed event.
- A 6-hour timed event.
For the timed events, a lap is counted only if completed before the 3-hour or 6-hour cutoff.
Logistics and Details
Bib pickup is required before each event's start. The event is described as runner, hiker, and walker friendly. It is also spectator friendly with no limit on crew or support.
It is a cupless and largely self-supported event. Participants must supply their own hydration and fueling. Water will be available to refill bottles. Runners in the timed events may have a personal aid bin (less than 30 gallons) placed near the start/finish line.
All finishers receive a race pin. Sustainable medals are awarded to the top three male, female, and non-binary participants in each event.
Environmental Commitment
The event is designated as a zero-carbon event. A $1 fee included in registration is allocated to offset personal travel emissions through a partner organization.
