The Long Run - Spring Forward
The Long Run - Spring Forward is scheduled for April 4, 2026 at Jacobsburg State Park. The event uses the Equestrian Parking Lot near the Sobers Run trailhead as the start and finish and centers on a give-or-take 5 mile loop through park trails.
The loop combines single track and gravel trails and has approximately 450 feet of elevation change. In the spring edition the course is run counter clockwise from the start. Participants choose a single entry from the available formats; lap counts must be completed before the time cutoff for the 3 hour or 6 hour events.
Available formats
- 5 Mile
- 3 Hour
- 6 Hour
This is a cupless, self supported event. Runners must supply their own hydration; coolers of water will be available for refilling bottles between laps or before and after the event. Runners in the 3 hour and 6 hour events may use a bin or bucket under 30 gallons placed near the start and finish. There is no limit on crew or support and the event is spectator friendly.
The organizer treats the event as zero carbon and adds a $1 registration fee to offset personal travel emissions in partnership with Native Energy. Monetary donations will be collected for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center. All finishers receive a race finisher pin and sustainable medals are awarded to the top three in male, female, and non binary categories.
