Course, format and support
- 5 mile loop
- 3-hour time-based event
- 6-hour time-based event
The course is a give-or-take 5 mile loop around Jacobsburg State Park, starting and finishing at the Equestrian Parking Lot near the Sobers Run trailhead. The loop mixes single-track and flat, fast gravel trails and has about 450 feet of elevation change. Runners may complete one loop or as many laps as possible within the chosen time event; laps count only if completed before the 3-hour or 6-hour cutoff.
This is a cupless, self-supported event. Participants must bring their own hydration and fuel; coolers of water will be available to refill bottles. Runners in the 3H or 6H events may use a personal bin or bucket under 30 gallons placed near the start/finish. There is no limit on crew or support, and the event provides a finisher pin for all finishers and sustainable medals for top three male, female, and non-binary finishers. The event includes a $1 carbon offset charge and collects donations for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
