Blackout is a nighttime trail event organized by The Running Kind in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. The event features a single race distance:

The course is on South Mountain and is described as technical and mountainous. The route includes over 1000 ft of vertical gain and is held on trails at night.

The event meeting area is Klines Lane Parking Lot, 101 Klines Ln, Emmaus, PA 18049. The race is self supported with no aid stations on course. Water and electrolyte mix will be available at the start/finish area; participants are asked to bring their own hydration pack. The event is cupless and plant-based aid will be provided by Gnarly Nutrition.

Awards are given to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers. All finishers receive a race finisher pin. The organizer will donate to Wildlands Conservancy and will add a $1 registration fee to offset carbon emissions for participant travel through a Native Energy project.
