Blues Cruise is a 50K trail ultramarathon held near Reading, PA, circling Blue Marsh Lake. The course is an approximately 31 mile loop that passes through woods and fields, features single track and rolling hills, and uses less than 0.5 miles of public roadway. The route includes one major climb called the Ski Slope with about 240 feet of vertical gain and one optional water crossing that can be traversed on foot or by bridge.

Seven themed aid stations are positioned along the course and are staffed by local ultrarunners. A strict nine hour time limit is enforced; aid stations 5, 6, and 7 have specific cutoffs and a sweep vehicle will be available for runners who are removed from the course. Camping is available for a fee. A relay division allows teams of two to four runners to complete the course in four legs; a team captain registers the team and each relay member registers individually. Registered participants receive post-race amenities including a buffet, drinks, physical therapy services, and finisher swag. Shirts are ordered for registrants who sign up by August 31. Refund guarantee coverage from a third party is offered as an optional purchase at checkout and does not cover event cancellation.
