RunPA Trail Jamboree
The RunPA Trail Jamboree is a multi-day trail running event held at Camp Mack in Newmanstown, Pennsylvania. The event features a variety of race formats, including a night run, multi-hour endurance challenges, and a dedicated youth race. Participants have the option to camp on-site at no additional cost starting the evening before the main events. Camping facilities include field space, pavilion spots, and sites with platforms, though no hookups are available for campers or vans.
The endurance events are conducted on a loop course measuring approximately 3.4 miles. The terrain includes single-track and double-track trails, grassy fields, and sections of dirt and stone roads. While the course features roots and rocks, it is not considered technical. For the endurance categories, participants may run, rest, and resume running as they choose, with only completed loops finished within the time limit counting toward their total.
Available distances and formats include:
- 3.5 Miles (Friday night trail race)
- 12 Hour Endurance (3.4-mile loops)
- 6 Hour Endurance (3.4-mile loops)
- 3 Hour Endurance (3.4-mile loops)
- 1.5 Miles (Free kids trail run for ages 12 and under)
Registration includes chip timing for all events. The staging area provides access to indoor bathroom facilities and showers. A main aid station at the start and finish line provides water, electrolytes, and snacks, though endurance runners are encouraged to bring their own meals. Pacers are permitted to join endurance runners after the first loop for a nominal fee. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the property. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
