Summer Sundown Rundown at Kempton

Summer Sundown Rundown is an evening trail event on 08/01/2026 at 83 Community Center Drive, Kempton, PA 19529, United States. Runners complete repeated laps of a single trail loop; each lap must be finished before a cutoff time that shortens as the event progresses. All remaining runners start each lap together. Missing a cutoff ends that runner's night. There is no set total distance or finish time; the event continues lap by lap until only one runner remains.

Format highlights:

  • Loop: about 1.6 miles
  • Possible total distance: 35+ miles

The first lap has a 20 minute cutoff; subsequent cutoffs decrease in length. Entry fee is $25, with a junior rate of $10 for participants up to 16. Day of payments accept cash, credit card, and Venmo. Limited parking is available onsite. After the run there is a post run gathering with food items such as burgers and s'mores, and Bright Path Brewing provides complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over. USATF sanction status is listed as TBD. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
