Bouncing Buns Clothing Optional 5.5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Bouncing Buns is an annual clothing optional running event held at Sunny Rest Resort in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. The event offers a unique 5.5K (3.41 miles) race and a separate 1 mile fun run/walk.

The 5.5K course is roughly 40% non-technical trail and 60% road. The fun run/walk is primarily on road, described as about 95% road surface. Participants may run clothed or unclothed; clothing is not permitted in the pool or hot tubs, though clothing may be worn poolside.

With entry or a spectator fee, resort facilities are available for the day and include pool and hot tubs, a poolside bar, restaurant, gym, trails, volleyball, and tennis. Camping reservations are handled through the resort.

Registration and fees vary by date and membership status. Early entry includes a T-shirt and full day resort access; later entries may be higher and shirts may not be available. Sunny Rest members have a reduced fee schedule. A spectator resort entry fee is charged per person on race day. Part of each entry fee is donated to the American Cancer Society and additional donations are optional.

Awards are given to top male and female finishers and by age group, with a top female age group at 70 and over. Results are posted online using limited identifiers only. Photography at the event is not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
