Labor Pain 12 Hour Endurance Trail Run & Relay - Reading, PA

The Labor Pain event is a 12-hour endurance trail run held on September 6, 2026, at the Liederkranz German Singing & Sports Club in Reading, PA. Online entry is mandatory. Relays return for 2026 as a trial division.

The course is a measured 5-mile loop composed of about 95% single- and double-track rustic trails and 5% dirt roads, asphalt, grass and rocks, with slight uphills, downhills and many flat sections. The loop starts and finishes at the Liederkranz and passes an outdoor bar, an aid station at mid-course, and the main aid/finish area each lap. Water stops are available mid-course and at the end of each loop. Indoor restrooms, a covered pavilion, food service, a cash bar and on-site medical presence are provided. Camping is allowed only on the day of the event; no fires and no overnight camping before or after the race.

Awards are based on the longest distance completed, with time used only to break ties. Overall 1st and 2nd male and female awards are given plus age-group awards and Clydesdale categories with specified minimum weights. Relay teams (2 to 4 people) receive matching bibs and the same post-race benefits as individuals; awards are given to top relay teams but individual relay splits are not tracked. Pacers are allowed for individuals after the second lap and must register on race day for a fee. Entries are nonrefundable and may be limited if preregistration exceeds parking capacity.
