Muleskinner is a set of road and towpath endurance races held on canal towpaths in Bucks County. The 2026 race date is October 10, 2026. The course runs primarily on the Pennsylvania side of the river along canal towpaths and is described as flat and fast.

The event offers multiple distance options:

  • 26.2 Mile Marathon
  • 50K
  • 50 Mile ultra

Aid stations are spaced about 6 to 7 miles apart and will supply water, sports drink, fruit, cookies, pretzels, and other standard aid station items. The race is cup free; runners must use a personal bottle, hydration pack, or reusable cup. Porta potties will be placed at several locations on the course.

Race logistics include packet pickup at Tinicum Park, the option to drop gear at aid stations, and a roving staff member who collects items and returns them to the finish. Drop bags are permitted for 50 mile runners when final locations are announced. 50K and 50 mile participants are advised to carry headlamps.

A finisher medal and a technical running shirt are provided to runners who finish within the allotted times. Top three men and women receive awards, and a special award is given to the last 50 mile finisher within the time limit. Camping is available at a reserved group tent site at Tinicum Park near the race grounds. A portion of registration fees supports the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
