The Long Run - Fall Back
The Long Run Fall Back is the autumn edition of a looped trail event held at Jacobsburg State Park on November 8th 2026. The course follows a give or take five mile loop that mixes single track with flat and fast gravel trails and has about 450 ft of elevation change. Runners may complete a single loop or run as many loops as possible within timed formats of three hours or six hours. The Fall Back edition uses the same original course as the spring edition but is run in the opposite direction.
The event is designated zero carbon. A portion of registration covers offsets for participant travel and the organizer subsidizes the remaining offset cost. The organizer partners with Change Climate Project and collects monetary donations for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center. The event also accepts donations for Sneakers4Good and The Center For Animal Health and Welfare. The Trail Mix Fund offers waived registration for runners who cannot afford entry fees and prioritizes under-served and under-represented communities including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ applicants.
