The Long Run - Fall Back
The Long Run is built around a give-or-take 5 mile loop at Jacobsburg State Park. The route combines single track and flat, fast gravel trails and includes about 450 feet of elevation change. Runners may complete a single loop or run as many loops as possible within timed formats of three or six hours. The Fall Back edition uses the same original course as the Spring edition but run in the opposite direction.
Available event formats:
- 5 Mile
- 3 Hour
- 6 Hour
The Spring Forward edition is scheduled for April 4th 2026 and the Fall Back edition for November 8th 2026, both at Jacobsburg State Park. A course map is provided in downloadable GPX format.
This event is organized as a zero carbon event. The organizer subsidizes event-level offsets and includes a fee in registration to offset individual travel emissions; the event partners with a climate project for offsets. Monetary donations are being collected for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, and donation drives accept items or funds for Sneakers4Good and The Center For Animal Health and Welfare.
The event notes course records for each format, including 40 miles in six hours and 20 miles in three hours, and recorded finishing times for the five mile format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
