The Long Run - Fall Back is a trail running and hiking event held at Jacobsburg State Park in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania. The course is run clockwise, which is the reverse direction of the original course layout.
Course Details
The event features a loop of approximately 5 miles around Jacobsburg State Park. The terrain is a mixture of single track and gravel trails. The loop has about 450 feet of elevation change. The start and finish is at the Equestrian Parking Lot near the Sobers Run trailhead.
Distances & Format
Participants register for one of three events:
- A single 5 mile loop.
- A 3-hour timed event.
- A 6-hour timed event. For the timed events, a lap must be completed before the 3-hour or 6-hour cutoff to be counted.
Event Information
The event is described as runner, hiker, and walker friendly. It is a cupless event; participants must supply their own hydration, though water will be available to refill bottles. It is also described as a self-supported event regarding fuel. Participants in the timed events can have a small bin for personal aid near the start/finish. There is no limit on crew or spectators.
The event aims to be a zero carbon event, with a $1 registration addition to offset personal travel emissions. Donations will also be collected for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center.
Awards
