Event details
The Long Run - Fall Back is a trail running event in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, at Jacobsburg State Park. Participants choose one of the available distances or formats:
- 5 Miler
- 3H
- 6H
This edition runs the original course in the reverse direction; the loop is run clockwise.
Course and logistics
The event uses a give-or-take 5 mile loop around Jacobsburg State Park with a mixture of single track and gravel trails. The loop has approximately 450 feet of elevation change. The start and finish are at the Equestrian Parking Lot near the Sobers Run trailhead.
The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own hydration. Coolers of water will be available to refill bottles between laps or before and after the event. The event is self supported for fueling. Runners in the 3H and 6H events may use a bin or bucket less than 30 gallons for aid, placed near the start/finish. There is no limit on crew or support on race day; the event is described as spectator friendly.
All finishers receive a race finisher pin. Sustainable medals are awarded to the top three in male, female, and non-binary categories. An adaptive athlete policy is in place. The event adds a $1 fee to registration to offset carbon emissions for personal travel and is collecting donations for the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center.
