Boulder Field 100 is a trail running event held within Hickory Run State Park at Sand Spring Lake. The course is a figure eight shaped 50K loop; 100K runners complete the 50K loop twice. Most of the route follows single-track hiking trails with about one mile of gravel road.

Estimated elevation gain is about 4000 ft per 50K loop. Notable course features include a boulder field crossing (under one mile) and a rugged section called the Shades of Death Trail (about one mile). Aid stations are located at approximate miles 5, 10, 12, 19, 25.5 for the 50K and additional stations for the 100K; Gatorade and water will be available and runners are asked to carry at least 16 oz of fluid between stations.

Time limits are published for the 100K and 50K; the 50K has a 14 hour limit listed. Bib pickup is scheduled at the pavilion next to Sand Spring Lake the day before and the morning of the event. A give or take five mile loop through Jacobsburg State Park with singletrack and gravel sections. Options include a 5 mile event or three hour and six hour timed efforts, and the event follows a zero carbon approach.

An Easter-themed 5K on April 4, 2026 in Shickshinny, PA, held on a flat out and back course along the Susquehanna Warrior Trail. The event features souvenir T-shirts, age-group awards, photos with the Easter Bunny, and lunch.
