Boulder Field 100

White Haven, United States • 13 Sep 2025

The Boulder Field 100 is a challenging trail running event held at Hickory Run State Park in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. It offers three distances: 100K, 50K, and an 18-mile run/hike. The course features a figure-8 shaped 50K loop, with 100K runners completing two loops.

Runners encounter about 4,000 feet of elevation gain per 50K, a rugged boulder field crossing, and a tough one-mile section known as the Shades of Death Trail. The terrain is mostly single-track and multi-use trails with minimal road running. Time limits are 16 hours for the 100K and 14 hours for the 50K, making the shorter race accessible to hikers.

Aid stations provide hydration and nutrition throughout the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
