The Iron Horse 8k is the second race in the Black Diamond Running Series, held on July 26, 2026 at Montage Mountain in Moosic, Pennsylvania. The course is a trail route with additional length and hilly terrain; the race distance is 8k (5 miles). Registration opens April 13, 2026 and closes July 23, 2026. Standard registration fee is $35, and day of registration is $45. Registered participants receive free admission to the Montage Mountain Waterpark after the race, listed as a $34.99 value, and may purchase up to four additional waterpark tickets for family members at $15 each. Packet pick-up and race-day registration are available on the day of the event.
Cash prizes are awarded in overall and masters categories. Prize payouts for both male and female divisions include $300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd, $75 for 4th, and $50 for 5th.
