Hardmoors 15

The Hardmoors 15 is a circular trail event of approximately 17.5 miles that starts and finishes at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hoods Bay. The course has about 1700 ft (518 m) of ascent and must be completed within an 8 hour time limit. The event holds ARC permit number 27/0001. No dogs are allowed.

The route passes through Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke with checkpoints at around 4.5 miles, 8 miles and 12.5 miles. Checkpoints provide food, water and coke. Competitors must log in with marshals at each checkpoint and follow the organisers instructions; there are prescribed cut off times at checkpoints.

Mandatory kit must be carried for the duration of the event and includes hat and gloves, a waterproof jacket with taped seams, at least 500 ml of water or sports drink, a whistle, map and route description, a survival bag, a foil blanket, a mobile phone, a cup for drinks and safety pins or similar to attach the race bib.

Entry is limited to 150 places. Entry fees are shown as £48 unattached and £46 attached. There are no cash refunds for event cancellation due to severe conditions; transfers and vouchers are offered under the stated terms. Trail challenges from Scarborough along the Cleveland Way and coast to Whitby plus inland moorland routes. Distances include 100 km, 50 km, 25 km and a Whitby 10 mile option with covered rest stops, medical teams and camping.

An all night trail run across the North York Moors starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall. Entrants receive a tracker, a GPX route and checkpoint support with food and drinks, and all finishers receive a Lamplighter medal.
