Due to its timing in January, the event is managed as a winter race. In the event of severe weather conditions in the North York Moors that necessitate a cancellation for safety, participants are offered entry to an alternative race of equal value. Registration takes place at the village hall on the morning of the event. Please note that pets are not permitted on the course for this specific event. The route follows established trails and coastal paths, providing a tour of the local landscape surrounding Robin Hood's Bay. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
