Hardmoors 15

The Hardmoors 15 is a circular trail running event that covers a distance of approximately 17.5 miles (28 km). The course starts and finishes at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hood's Bay. Participants must navigate a route that includes approximately 1700 feet (518 metres) of total ascent.

The event follows a specific path with designated checkpoints:

The course includes three main checkpoints located at Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke. These stations provide water, food, and coke for the participants. A time limit of 8 hours is set for the completion of the entire route. There is also a specific cut-off time at the 8-mile mark at Hayburn Wyke, which runners must reach within 3 hours of starting.

Participants are required to carry mandatory kit for the duration of the race. This equipment includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams, a hat, gloves, a whistle, a survival bag, a foil blanket, and a mobile phone. Runners must also carry a map, a route description, at least 500 ml of liquid, and their own cup for drinks at aid stations.

The event has a maximum capacity of 150 participants. Those who finish the race receive a medal and a technical T-shirt. Prizes are awarded across several categories, including open male and female rankings, as well as age-specific categories for veterans aged 50, 60, and 70.
