Hardmoors 15

The Hardmoors 15 is a winter trail event held on Saturday 9 January 2027. The route is a circular course of approximately 17.5 to 18 miles that starts and finishes at Fylingdales Village Hall in Robin Hood's Bay. The course follows coastal and trail sections including the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way and records about 1700 feet (518 metres) of ascent.

Participants must complete the route within an eight hour time limit. The entry limit for the event is 150. Entry fees are listed as £46 for attached runners and £48 for unattached runners; £1.00 from each entry is donated to the Cleveland Way National Trail. ARC permit number 27/0001 is shown for the event. Dogs are not permitted.

There are staffed checkpoints on the route: Ravenscar Station Road at about 4.5 miles and again at about 12.5 miles, and Hayburn Wyke at about 8 miles. These checkpoints provide water, food and coke. Mandatory kit for the event includes hat and gloves, a waterproof jacket with taped seams, at least 500 ml of water or sports drink to carry, whistle, map and route description, survival bag, foil blanket, mobile phone and a cup for aid stations and the finish.

If the event is cancelled for safety reasons due to weather, no cash refunds will be issued but an entry to another Hardmoors race up to the value of this event or a transfer to the following year's race may be offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
