Course and logistics
All races take place on looped single- and double-track trails inside Mueller State Park. The 100 mile course is made up of six 14.8-mile loops and one 10.5-mile loop. The course is non-technical and described as smooth rolling meadows with views of Pikes Peak granite. Elevation on course ranges from 9,189 ft to 9,743 ft. Reported elevation gain totals include 16,071 ft for the 100 mile, 8,500 ft for the 100k, 4,200 ft for the 50k, and 2,100 ft for the 25k.
Aid stations are positioned about 4.3–6.1 miles apart, are crew accessible, allow drop bags, and are stocked with items such as Tailwind, Muir Energy gels, snacks, fruit, and soda. Some aid stations will also offer warm food. Crew access is allowed at the Livery and Hart-Lee Homestead aid stations. Pacing is permitted only for the 100 mile and 100k with specific location rules.
