Event Overview
The Great Divide Ultra is a trail running festival held in early June in Divide, Colorado. The event takes place on the rolling meadows of Mueller State Park. The courses are 100% smooth single and double-track trail.
Distances
The event offers four main distances:
- 100 mile
- 100k
- 50k
- 25k
There is also a Dark Divide Night Run (50k/25k) that begins at 8:00 PM on Saturday.
Course Details
The 100-mile course is described as the first 100-miler on the Colorado calendar. It consists of multiple loops on a 14.8-mile looped course. The terrain is non-technical. Elevation for the event ranges from approximately 9,189 to 9,743 feet. The 100-mile event has a 36-hour cutoff. Aid stations are placed 4.3 to 6.1 miles apart and are accessible by crew. All aid stations allow drop bags.
Aid Stations & Support
All aid stations are stocked with Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, snacks, fruit, and soda. Some stations also offer warm food like bacon, quesadillas, and potatoes.
Registration & Inclusions
Registration includes a gender-specific race shirt, a BOCO trucker hat, a personalized bib, a finisher's award, aid station support, and a post-race meal. Finishers of the 100-mile and 100k distances receive a belt buckle.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday in Woodland Park and on race mornings at the start/finish line or John Wesley Ranch. Crew access is allowed at the Livery (start/finish) and Hart-Lee Homestead aid stations. Pacing is allowed for the 100-mile and 100k distances under specific rules. Parking is at designated lots, with shuttles provided for some distances.
