Above the Clouds Ultra takes place in Woodland Park, Colorado on October 3, 2026. The event offers two distances:

The course begins in Woodland Park and ascends Lovell Gulch to Rampart Range Road. Runners travel south on Rampart Range Road with sustained views of Pikes Peak, then follow a counterclockwise loop around the singletrack trails of Rampart Reservoir. The route connects to the 700.A National Forest trail and continues north on quiet National Forest roads before descending the Lovell Gulch Loop to return to the start and finish area at Merit Academy in Woodland Park.

Aid stations are placed along each course and are stocked with Tailwind, Muir Energy gels, snacks, fruit, and soda. The Rainbow Gulch and Rampart Ridge stations also offer warm food options. Crewing is allowed only for 50K runners at designated crew accessible aid stations; pacing is prohibited. One aid location beyond the Rainbow Gulch station requires a $10 entry fee.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Colorado GearLab and on race morning at the start area. Registrations close on September 30, 2026. The event is subject to permit approval by Pike National Forest. Race entries include a gender specific race shirt, personalized bib and finishers award, well stocked aid stations, and a post race meal.
