The route begins in Woodland Park and ascends Lovell Gulch to Rampart Range Road, continues south along Rampart Range Road, then loops counter-clockwise around singletrack at Rampart Reservoir, connects to National Forest Trail 700.A, travels north on quiet National Forest roads, and returns via the Lovell Gulch loop to the start/finish area at Merit Academy. Aid stations are placed along the course and are stocked with Tailwind, Muir Energy Gels, snacks, fruit, and soda. Rainbow Gulch and Rampart Ridge aid stations will also offer warm food options. The Dam aid station accepts drop bags.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Colorado GearLab and at the event in Woodland Park. Registration closes October 1, 2025. Pacing is prohibited; crewing is permitted for 50k runners at designated crew-accessible aid stations. Merit Academy serves as the host for parking and the start/finish area. The closest major airport is Colorado Springs Municipal Airport; Denver International Airport is farther. Mueller State Park offers 132 campsites by reservation.
