Pikes Peak Ultra is a trail running event organized by Mad Moose Events and first held in 2015. The race starts and finishes at Bear Creek Regional Park in Colorado Springs and uses local trails including High Drive, Cheyenne Canon, Seven Bridges Trail, Pipeline Trail, and parts of the Ring the Peak Trail. Much of the course is on crushed granite. The 50K and 50 Mile courses include a summit of Mt. Rosa.

Course profiles and event information
Course statistics vary by distance. The 50 Mile course lists a lowest point of 6,170 ft, highest point of 11,893 ft, elevation gain of 11,759 ft, and elevation loss of 11,579 ft. The 50K course lists a lowest point of 6,169 ft, highest point of 11,440 ft, elevation gain 8,127 ft, and elevation loss 8,123 ft. The 30K and 20K courses list respective highest points of 8,240 ft and 7,877 ft, with elevation gains and losses of 4,177 ft (30K) and 2,513 ft (20K).
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Colorado Running Company and on race day at the starting line. The event has gone cupless; participants are asked to use reusable cups. Water dispensers will be available at the start/finish and at every aid station. Timing uses a shoe-attached chip; a chip not attached to a shoe will not record a time. Parking is available near park pavilions, courts, and lots; parking along Argus or 21st may result in towing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
