The Frozen Stick Trail Run

The Frozen Stick Trail Run takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Glencoe, Missouri. It is a standalone event and also serves as the finale for the Stick Season Trail Run Series. Participants can register for the series or for this event individually.

The event offers two distance options:

  • The Starting to Freeze 5 miler
  • The Frozen Stick Half Marathon

Both races start at LaSalle Middle School and use trails including Bluffview, Rock Hollow, and Zombie Trails. The course passes aid and cheering stations twice before finishing back inside the school, described as a warm racers village.

All participants receive a Rockinator Racing neck buff, a t-shirt, a finisher medal, a race bib, chip timing, drinks, and snacks. There are awards and podium spots for the top three male and female finishers in each distance, with age group awards in ten-year increments. The event features free downloadable photos and on-course tracking via the RaceJoy app. The organizer states the event continues a 15-year tradition on the same route as a discontinued race called Frozen Feet.
