The Bishop's Stortford Mitre 10k, 5k & 1K

The event is a community road race organised by The Bishop's Stortford High School at Jobbers Wood, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. It includes professionally measured and chip timed 10 km and 5 km road courses that run on traffic-free country lanes through East Hertfordshire villages.

A separate 1 km Mitre Race for younger runners takes place at Jobbers Wood after the main races. The 1 km race is free to enter on the day for under 11s, with medals for all participants and certificates for the winners.

The Mitre Fund is a registered charity that raises money for The Bishop's Stortford High School. Funds for the listed year will support new community sports facilities. Runners who are raising money for charities may notify the organisers to be acknowledged during the event.

Features include a free finisher's T-shirt or the option to have a tree planted in the runner's name, an organised warm-up, refreshments, and free parking. Race packs are available for collection the day before or on the morning of the event. Trophies are awarded to the top three women and men, first in the 40, 50 and 60 age categories for women and men, and the best running club team based on the fastest two women and fastest two men from the same club.
