The Bishop's Stortford Mitre is a community road-race event organised by The Bishop's Stortford High School and sponsored by Nockolds Solicitors. The next edition is set for Sunday 5 July 2026 at Jobbers Wood, Great Hadham Road, Much Hadham, Herts SG10 6FB. The event supports the Mitre Fund, a registered charity raising money for new school community sports facilities.

The 10k and 5k are chip timed on professionally measured road courses. The routes run on traffic-free roads and country lanes from Jobbers Wood sports ground and pavilion, through Much Hadham, and back. The courses include some undulation.

Race packs are available for collection the day before and on the event day. Participants receive a free finisher's T-shirt or may choose to have a tree planted in their name. There is an organised warm-up, refreshments, free parking on site, and prizes including trophies for the top three men and women, age-category winners (first over 40, 50, 60 for men and women), and a club team award for the 5k and 10k. The 1K Mitre Race at Jobbers Wood is free to enter on the day for under 11s; medals are given to all participants and certificates to winners. Volunteers are invited to help on the day.
