Race HQ is at Dawson Field, Main Road, Danbury, Chelmsford, CM3 4NQ. There is ample free parking on site and a secure bag drop is available. Organisers recommend familiarising with the route or using the GPX on the day. Apart from a mobile phone with the HQ number stored, no mandatory kit is required. The event is cupless. Crewing and pacing are not allowed. Participants are asked to respect other footpath users and to keep any litter with them.

Open category winners receive £50, runners-up £25 and third place £15. A £100 bonus is offered for a new course record. There is a marked Strava section of roughly 1 km; the fastest male and female on that segment win a special prize but those who finish in the top three overall in either category are not eligible. Course record times listed are 1:59:04 (female, 2024) and 1:39:50 (male, 2025). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
