Sparks Biggest Little Ultra
The event takes place October 9 to 11, 2026 at Sparks Marina, 300 Howard Drive, Sparks, Nevada. The marina is adjacent to hotels and casinos and features sandy beaches, a fishing pier, a dog park, volleyball courts, a veterans memorial, a kids playground, a coffee shop, and a continuous walking path around the water.
This is a multi day fixed time and fixed distance event for runners and walkers. Options offered include:
- 3 hour fixed time
- 6 hour fixed time
- 12 hour fixed time
- 24 hour fixed time
- 48 hour fixed time
- 50 mile race
- 100 mile race
- 6 hour relay for teams up to six runners
The course is a paved, lighted loop just under 2 miles with a total elevation gain of 29 feet. Two permanent restrooms are located on the loop and porta potties will be near the start area. Partial laps are not counted; the 50 mile distance requires 26 loops and the 100 mile distance requires 52 loops. One pacer at a time is allowed and bicycles are not permitted.
A fully stocked aid station at the start and finish operates around the clock and will serve meals during normal breakfast, lunch and dinner hours, including vegan options. The event is cupless and hot cups are provided for soup and hot drinks at night. Electronic chip timing records each completed lap and a secondary timing point verifies lap counts. Results are updated live online.
Awards are given in consolidated categories across start times. All 100 mile finishers receive a 100 mile belt buckle and a 100 mile finishers flannel shirt. Relay awards cover gender and age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
