Sparks Biggest Little Ultra
The Sparks Biggest Little Ultra is a two day ultrarunning event held in October 2026 at Sparks Marina, 300 Howard Drive, Sparks, Nevada. The event uses a looped course around the marina that is just under two miles per lap with a total elevation gain of 29 feet per loop. The course is paved and lighted and includes two permanent restrooms and nearby porta potties.
The event offers both fixed time and fixed distance formats:
- 3 hour fixed time
- 6 hour fixed time
- 12 hour fixed time
- 24 hour fixed time
- 48 hour fixed time
- 50 mile distance
- 100 mile distance
- 6 hour relay, up to six runners per team
Race administration uses electronic chip timing with a secondary timing sensor to verify laps; lap totals are displayed live online. Partial laps are not counted so runners must complete full loops to have them recorded. A central aid station at the start/finish is open around the clock and provides standard aid station food, Hammer Nutrition products, and served meals with vegan options during meal hours. The event is cupless for cold drinks so runners are asked to provide their own cup; hot cups are supplied for soup and hot drinks at night.
Limited RV and trailer parking is available with rules for rig length and parking locations. A portion of proceeds will support Liberty Dogs, a nonprofit service dog training program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
