Sparks Biggest Little Ultra - Sparks Marina, NV

Sparks Biggest Little Ultra is a multi-day ultrarunning event held at Sparks Marina, located at 300 Howard Drive in Sparks, Nevada. The marina site includes a walking path, sandy beaches, a fishing pier, a dog park, playgrounds, and nearby hotels and casinos.

The event offers a variety of fixed-time and fixed-distance options:

  • 100 mile

A six-hour relay is available for teams of up to six runners. Relay award categories include all female teams, all male teams, mixed gender teams, and teams with runners over 55 years of age.

The course is a paved, lighted loop just under two miles with a total elevation gain of 29 feet per loop. Two permanent restrooms are located on course and porta potties will be placed near the start area. Partial laps are not counted; 50 mile entrants complete 26 loops and 100 mile entrants complete 52 loops.

One pacer at a time is allowed and bicycles are not permitted. Timing uses an electronic chip transponder with a secondary timing point halfway around the loop; lap totals are displayed when runners cross the start/finish. The start/finish aid station operates continuously with standard supplies, real meals during normal meal hours including vegan options, and a cupless policy with hot cups provided at night. Trail runs nearby

Trail runs from Spooner Lake to Marlette Lake featuring Sierra single track, panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley, with a 50K and a 10 Miler option.

A community run in Tahoe Vista with a 5K and a 1 mile fun run across grass fields, paved bike paths and park trails. Parking and a participant hat are included, and proceeds support a park nonprofit.

A USATF sanctioned trail 5k at Hidden Valley Regional Park in Reno on September 5, 2026. Proceeds benefit Azteca FC and all participants receive a shirt, finisher medal, and sticker.

A just over 10 mile out and back trail climb to the 10,776' Mt. Rose summit raising funds for Washoe County Search and Rescue. Single-track mountain trail, two water-only aid stations, volunteer stopwatch timing, USATF sanctioned.
